Barcelona: Umtiti will leave, not Dembélé

The revolution is on. On Monday, we learned from Catalan radio RAC1 that the new FC Barcelona coach, Ronald Koeman, had informed striker Luis Suarez of his future departure. The Uruguayan is unlikely to be the only one. AS inform that French defender and world champion Samuel Umtiti is also undesirable at Barca. The former Lyonnais (26 years old) has not been able to chain matches for two years, the fault of a serious knee problem. According to L'Équipe , a loan is being considered in order to reduce the wage bill and give Umtiti a chance to revive itself. His compatriot and winger, Ousmane Dembélé, is however deemed untransferable by President Josep Bartomeu according to Sport . The ex-Rennais (23 years old), who also multiplied the physical problems, played only 9 matches last season. He has two years of contract left, but the interest of Manchester United would therefore be swept aside by the back of the hand by Barça, who still wants to believe in Dembélé.

The 3 pieces of information to remember from the day before:

Suarez, final clap in Barcelona?

It's a little bomb that just fell in Catalonia. According to RAC1 radio , the new FC Barcelona coach Ronald Koeman called Luis Suarez this morning. He would have informed the Uruguayan striker (33) that he was not part of his plans, one year from the end of his contract. Barça would even be ready to break his contract and ignore a transfer fee. A meeting is to take place today to clear things up. Suarez, author of 21 goals in 36 matches last season, has experienced a drastic drop in form, mainly due to physical glitches. What made Barça relativize on the 15M € / year that it receives. His departure would pave the way for the long-awaited arrival of Inter Milan's Argentine Lautaro Martinez . AS add midfielders Ivan Rakitic and Arturo Vidal , as well as French defender Samuel Umtiti are featuredalso on a junk list.

T. Silva close to Chelsea

According to Sky Sports and The Athletic , Chelsea are very close to registering their long-awaited first signing in defense. It should be Thiago Silva , at the end of his contract after 8 seasons at Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazil international (35) is said to be on the verge of signing a one-year contract. "My agent is speaking with Fiorentina and with other teams, but there is nothing signed yet," Thiago Silva told RMC Sport at the end of the Champions League final lost to Bayern Munich (0-1).

PSG: Tuchel wants "a larger team"

The coach of Paris Saint-Germain, Thomas Tuchel , did not escape many microphones after the defeat of his team in the Champions League final against Bayern Munich (0-1). He was notably launched on the club's transfer window by BT Sport , and had things to say. "When I see Bayern invest and keep all its players ... If we want to compete at this level, we have to use this transfer market, we have a larger team, warns the German coach. The coming season will be very, very busy, without a break after the coronavirus epidemic. To compete, you have to build a very, very strong team. " PSG have already said goodbye to their captain and defender Thiago Silva , their replacement goalkeeper Sergio Rico and their striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting , all at the end of their contract.
