After the shutdown and protest against police violence against blacks in the U.S., the NBA returned tonight (Saturday through Sunday) to play. And Anthony Davis has secured the Lakers their first win in a playoff series since 2012. Houston got Russell Westbrook back and gave them back the lead in the series.

Los Angeles Lakers (1) - Portland Trail Blazers (8) 122: 131 (1: 4 in the series)

Portland without Damien Lillard still managed to level at halftime, but in the third quarter the Lakers opened the gap en route to 122: 131 at the end and a ticket to the Western Conference semifinals. The team from City of Angels will meet in the next round the winner of the series between Houston and Oklahoma City (2: 3 to the Rockets).

LeBron James was formidable, finishing with a triple-double of 36 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and remaining perfect in the first-round series (0-14). The list of scenes was led by Anthony Davis, who bombed 43 points of his own and gave the Lakers their first win in a playoff series for the first time since 2012.

On the losing side, CJ McCollum stood out in the absence of Lillard and scored 36 points, Carmelo Anthony added 27 and Joseph Norkic finished the playoffs with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists.

Oklahoma City Thunder (5) - Houston Rockets (4) 114: 80 (3: 2 in the series)

Russell Westbrook returned after recovering from an injury to the Houston roster, which returned to lead the series and is one win away from a series against the Lakers. A tremendous second half of 66 points against Oklahoma's only 35 closed the story.

James Harden scored 31 points, Robert Covington sniped 6 of 11 from outside the arc and finished with 22 points, Eric Gordon added 20. In his return game,'Ras' played 24 minutes in which he scored 7 points, delivered 7 assists and took 6 rebounds.

On the losing side Dennis Schroeder scored 19 points, 18 of them in the second quarter that left the Thunder in the game, but in the third quarter he was sent off after sending a punch to a particularly unpleasant area, according to Jay Tucker. Ex Holon was also expelled following the incident. Chris Paul finished with 16 points, Stephen Adams with 12.

Milwaukee Bucks (1) - Orlando Magic (8) 104: 118 (1: 4 in the series)

After boycotting the game at its original time, the Bucks went up to play this time and thanks to a good first half took the ticket to the Eastern Semifinals. The Magic still reduced the difference in the fourth quarter but it was not enough against Yannis Antokompo who finished another great evening with 28 points and 17 rebounds.

Chris Middleton assisted with his own double-double (21 points and 10 rebounds), Brock Lopez scored 16. Orlando, which ended its run in the "home" tournament, was led by Nikola Wojciech with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Owen Fournier scored 18 points and DJ Augustine added 15.

Milwaukee will next face the Miami Heat in a battle for the Eastern Conference Finals.
