Motocross driver Max Nagl once again demonstrated his class at the Czech championship and would also like to win the overall standings.

Now, however, there is a collision with races in Germany.

Weilheim / Pacov - Max Nagl remains the measure of all things in the international Czech championship.

The motocross professional from Weilheim extended his lead in the overall standings with two race wins at the event in Pacov (around 100 kilometers south-east of Prague).

With a total of 216 points, the 33-year-old is now well ahead of Vaclav Kovar (174) and Martin Krc (158).

The so far second in the overall standings, the Austrian Pascal Rauchenecker (153), did not start at the fifth race weekend.

At the same time he competed in the Grand Prix in Faenza and scored five championship points.

Max Nagl crossed the finish line with a clear lead over the competition in both races.

In the first race of the MX1 class, the KTM rider was 13.7 seconds ahead of second place, Kovar.

In the second race, after 17 laps, the German had at least seven seconds between himself and the second - in this case Krc.

Nagl also drove the fastest lap in both races.

He achieved the top time on the 1950 meter long course in the first run with 2: 03.360 minutes.

Max Nagl: In Pacov a victory with a maximum of 50 points

Even if Nagl is way ahead of the competition in the overall standings, he has to really fight for his results.

This also applied to the races in Pacov.

“The Czech drivers are damn good on their home tracks,” said the 2016 World Cup third party to the Speedweek portal.

“It was absolutely not a drive.

The pace was extremely high and I was pretty exhausted after the race. ”In the first run, Max Nagl was pushed back a bit in the first corner, after which he first had to fight his way to the top.

At the end of the day, the veteran shared the "Holeshot Award" (which is used to award the best starter) with the Czech Krc.

The event in Pacov was well attended.

Around 10,000 motocross fans came to the nature route, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the 5000-inhabitant town.

The visitors were directed to different sectors to keep a distance.

Guests even had access to the paddock, reports Speedweek.

Max Nagl: Leadership in the Czech championship is 42 points

After his success in Pacov, Max Nagl now has a special problem: There is a deadline collision with the ADAC MX Masters series.

This takes place as the "Short Season" on 19./20.

September (Grevenbroich) and on 3./4.

October (Tensfeld).

Three races (one on Saturday and two on Sunday) will be held per event.

It is precisely on these two Masters dates that two runs of the eight international Czech championship are on the program.

Both racing series are important to Nagl with regard to sponsors.

In these days he wants to speak to all sides again.

“It's a very difficult decision, but one that has to be made in the next few days,” said the man from Weilheim.

There is also a logistical problem to be solved, as “both replacement motorcycles are currently in the Czech Republic and first have to be transferred to Germany”.

The prospect of becoming the overall winner in the Czech Republic is of course very tempting.

“I might still be able to afford to skip one race, but I won't be able to win the Czech championships if I haven't finished two races,” the 33-year-old is convinced.

His lead is currently 42 points.

The winner of a single run receives 25 points.

The other drivers receive 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12 etc. points in descending order.
