The 2020/21 season of the NBA will not open before Christmas, i.e. December 25th.
Journalist Shams Charnier reports tonight (Thursday) that the league management has announced the decision to the team leaders.
The league had planned to open next season on December 1 - a late date in itself set due to delays caused by the outbreak of the Corona virus - but Commissioner Adam Silver recently expressed doubt about that happening.
The league management has not yet been set an exact date and it seems that everything is still pouring.
Yesterday Adrian Wojciechowski reported that the draft, which was scheduled to take place on October 16, will be moved to November 18.
