PJ Tucker is deep these days in the Houston playoff game against the Los Angeles Lakers, but it turns out his heart is still deep deep at Hapoel Holon.
The forward, who has played in the best league in the world for the past eight years, recalled the purple period in his life, as part of an interview published this morning (Thursday) in the New York Times.
"To this day, the championship with Holon is the biggest basketball moment of my career," said Tucker, returning in the time tunnel to the dramatic victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Final Four. "Without a doubt, I played for the craziest fans I ever met.
"Everything I have experienced elsewhere does not even come close to those fans."
The same article also briefly quoted the current Maccabi Tel Aviv forward, Omri Caspi, who also spent no less than ten seasons in the best league in the world. "He would just crush players in color.
No one in the league could handle his physicality, "Caspi admitted.
As you know, just 36 hours ago, Tucker, who is considered one of the highest quality guards in the league, excelled with 18 points and 11 rebounds in the Rockets 'loss, against the Lakers' LeBron James (1: 2 to Los Angeles in the Western Conference semifinal series).
