Red Bull Salzburg's double encounter with Maccabi Tel Aviv has brought it two significant results: qualifying for the home stage of the Champions League, and contagion of three players with Corona.
Four days after the game against the Israeli champion in Austria in the Champions League playoffs (1: 3, and 2: 5 in the sum of the two games), the Austrian club announced the presence of the players as positive in the Corona tests they conducted on the team.
As you may recall, Maccabi Tel Aviv appeared for the game in Salzburg without 11 players who fell ill in Corona, but Dan Bitton, since he played against the Austrians, was positive about the virus after the game.
