According to the Mundo Deportivo website, FC Barcelona's human resources department has informed its employees - including professional athletes - that the club is being forced to make another readjustment due to the drop in income due to Covid-19.
Negotiations will be launched to define the terms of this new reduction.
The measures to be adopted will be debated for fifteen days.
Professional footballers will have a representative at the negotiating table, governed by the workers' statute, who will discuss the measures to be adopted.
According to the Catalan media, this collective procedure aimed at modifying the working conditions was initiated due to the sharp drop in ordinary income suffered by the club due to the pandemic: - € 47 million on match days, - € 35 million on sales of derivative products in stores, - € 18 million on stadium tours.
