Didier Deschamps gives a facelift to the France team, opposed this Wednesday evening to Ukraine, by establishing Houssem Aouar and Eduardo

The coach had expressed his willingness to distribute the playing time. He will start this Wednesday evening against Ukraine by knocking down the youth card embodied by the tenures of Ernesto Camavinga and Houssem Aouar.

From the height of his 17 years, the Rennais celebrates his 2nd selection after a baptism of fire noticed against Croatia (4-2).

For the Lyonnais, however, this is a great first.

He is the 50th player launched by Didier Deschamps in the French team since his inauguration in August 2012 against Uruguay (0-0).

For the rest Steve Mandanda is well established behind a four-way defense, composed, as expected, of Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Clément Lenglet and Lucas Digne.

The Giroud armband

For the defender of Leipzig, it is appropriate to speak of a real test after his first two not necessarily convincing outings against Sweden and Croatia, where he had however scored a goal.

In a midfield probably articulated in diamond shape, we find, alongside Camavinga and Aouar, another Rennes player Steven Nzonzi and Bavarian Corentin Tolisso.

The offensive duo is formed by Olivier Giroud and Anthony Martial.
