Champions League: Incident of racism at Paris Saint-Germain vs Istanbul Başakşehir

The Istanbul Başakşehir players left the pitch after an incident at Paris Saint-Germain. The fourth official is said to have racially insulted Başakşehir supervisor Pierre Webó.

The Champions League game between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir was interrupted on Tuesday evening because of a statement by the fourth official from Romania.

After 23 minutes, both teams left the field in the Prinzenpark in Paris.

In the 14th minute, the team of referees had sent Basaksehir assistant coach Pierre Webó to the stands for unsportsmanlike conduct.

During this process, a racist insult is said to have been made, the Istanbul officials loudly accused the Romanian referee of this, as was clearly audible through the external microphones.

The team of referees was led by Ovidiu Hategan, the fourth official is Sebastian Coltescu.
