The "Last Dance" series gave sports fans a fascinating glimpse into one of the great dynasties in the NBA, Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls.

Throughout the series Scotty Pippin was presented in a problematic way - in the second episode Jordan described Pippin as "selfish" for waiting with the surgery he had to undergo for the start of the 1997/98 season, and in other parts Pippin was portrayed as an overly soft and "underpaid" actor.

Now in an interview with the Guardian, the actor admitted that he did not like the way he was portrayed in the series, that his story with Chicago is not told accurately but in a way that will glorify Jordan, and said that he shared these feelings with Jordan himself.

"I do not think the series is accurate in terms of the definition of what was achieved in one of the greatest eras of basketball, by two of the greatest players, and there are those who would say it is the greatest team of all time," Pippin said, adding: "I think these things have not been highlighted enough in the series. "I thought it was more about Michael trying to elevate and glorify himself (the series was co-produced by Jump 23, a production company owned by Jordan). It gave people a chance to see the personality that Michael had at the time."

Pippin said he shared this with Jordan.

"Yeah, I told him I'm not happy about that. He accepted it and said 'hey, you're right.' That's what it was more or less."
