Arrival of the quinté
: 17 - 15 - 4 - 13 - 16
After Mathieu Mottier's double thanks to
Gotida
and
Good Luck Quick
and that of Eric Raffin in the saddle on
Freeman de Houelle
and the sulky by
Hirondelle Sibey
, the Prix d'Amérique pitted eighteen competitors on the classic route of the 2,700 m of the big track with a much awaited match between
Face Time Bourbon
and
Davidson du Pont
, the first two of the previous edition.
And this long-awaited duel did indeed take place around 3:20 pm on the Parisian ash.
Well started,
Face Time Bourbon
(n ° 17) bided his time behind the back of host
Bahia Quesnot
(n ° 16), while
Davidson du Pont
(n ° 15) was standing nearby in ambush just like
Délia du Pommereux
(n ° 13),
Gu d'Héripré
(n ° 4) and Vivid Wise As (n ° 14), while
Moni Viking
(n ° 5) had lost all chance on a prank in front of the stands.
In the last turn, and on a simple acceleration, the champion of Sébastien Guarato easily took the measure of his opponents and entered the finish line with several lengths in advance, vainly pursued by
Davidson du Pont
, his only rival.
Halfway through the straight,
Face Time Bourbon
had won the race and was clearly ahead
of Davidson du Pont
as last year
.
At a distance from the first two,
Gu d'Héripré
(n ° 4), the only 5-year-old tricolor, finished in a very pleasant action to delight the second runner-up at
Délia du Pommereux
(n ° 13).
Courageous all along the finish line,
Bahia Quesnot
completes the finish of the quinté and is slightly ahead
of Vauvert
(n ° 3), whose end of the race did not go unnoticed.
Stéphan Flourent indicated the quinté in order in 5 horses only.
Romain Porée, Kévin Romain, Halim Bouakkaz and the Synthesis proposed it out of order.
