The Egyptians erected another huge structure near the pyramids of Giza.

The »Dr.

Hassan Moustafa Indoor Sports Complex «was one of the venues for the current handball world championship.

The new arena, which can hold 5,200 spectators under normal circumstances, was named after a man who has been referred to as the “handball pharaoh” for two decades: Hassan Moustafa, 76, has headed the world association IHF since 2000.

Moustafa will be crowned IHF President for the sixth time at the congress in Antalya at the end of this year, i.e. he will hold office until at least 2025.

An opponent who could take on him does not dare to take cover - even though quite a few functionaries would like the Pharaoh to end his rule.

Hassan Moustafa is one of the most controversial officials in world sport, but also a man who, like few officials, knows how to cement his power.

There are many stories about the slim man from Northeast Africa, such as how he obtained his doctorate.
