The 2022 World Cup organized in Qatar seems to be the World Cup of all controversies.
The
Guardian
revealed on Tuesday that more than 6,500 migrants are believed to have died, including the construction of seven new stadiums, but also new roads, hotels and even an airport.
It is also specified that 80% of deaths among Indians and 48% among Nepalese are classified as "natural", proof of a deliberate lack of rigor on the part of the authorities.
These workers would face unbearable conditions, with a very heavy load, in exhausting heat.
The British newspaper said that, of the dead, 5,927 were from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
And that would not work out since the
Guardian
specifies that its estimates are probably below the reality because countries like Kenya or the Philippines also sent a slew of workers.
