The opening half of the Ile-de-France club, who has played 66 times with the XV of France, has decided to retire at the end of the season, at 34

His contract with Racing 92, where he arrived in 2019, will be his last.

In an interview with Koï magazine, François Trinh-Duc announced that he would stop his career at the end of this season.

“At Racing 92, this is my last contract,” he confided.

Rather, it is a choice.

I've been doing this job for 16 years.

Last summer, I took a Grande Ecole master's degree at Grenoble Ecole Management and I am the managing partner of a consulting and engineering firm in Montpellier.

Normally, in September, when I stop rugby, I will go directly to this activity.

Nothing to do with rugby but it is team management, salespeople, engineers to train them, coach them, improve their skills and take them on a mission.

A Grand Slam in 2010

Trained in Montpellier, where he spent most of his career from 2004 to 2016, François Trinh-Duc was launched in the France team by Marc Lièvremont on February 3, 2008 against Scotland.

With the Blues, he won a Grand Slam in 2010 and reached the World Cup final in 2011 (8-7 loss against the All Blacks).

His last selection dates back to March 2018.

Not spared by injuries, victim in particular of fractures of the right arm, the player also went through Toulon (2016-2019) without really convincing before joining the Ciel et Blanc.
