The management of the Football Association today (Thursday) discussed the emerging recommendations of the National Sports Council for the new support tests, according to which the share of the football industry, which was 32% of the total allocations, will be reduced to 15%.
At the meeting, Chairman Oren Hasson and CEO Ratam Kemar presented the distortion in the emerging recommendations and the existential danger to the industry.
In light of the latest developments from 2014, the share of football decreased and reached NIS 47 million, while most of the other unions benefited from an increase in the budget.
All this as a result of disproportionate criteria affecting the industry, such as an increase in the number of athletes.
The association works to increase the number of participants, but in the absence of state investment in infrastructure, the possibility of thousands of children joining the industry is denied each season.

According to simulations, the share of football in the total fund will decrease to NIS 40 million, while over the years the total funds have increased from 160 to 250.
Oren Hasson commented on this and said: "Unfortunately, the winds are blowing that could lead to the approval of the recommendations in the coming weeks.
"On Sunday we held an urgent meeting with the minister in the presence of senior ministry officials, we made it clear that this means a catastrophe for football and the failure of teams in the periphery and entire clubs living off these allocations.
The Minister showed understanding for our position and recognized the existing danger, and ordered the Sports Director to sit down with us and hear all our reservations.
We will take all possible measures to prevent the evil of this illogical decision and, if necessary, we will go to an uncompromising struggle to save the future of football in Israel. "
