PSG-Nantes: the dream 11 of the players passed by the two clubs

2021-03-13T22:49:31.895Z

From Landreau to Armand, via Kombouaré, the dream 11 of players who have passed through PSG and Nantes.

Paris and Nantes, a long history… Many players have indeed worn the colors of these two great houses.

Often moving from FCN to PSG elsewhere, the club of the capital having regularly drawn from the inexhaustible pool of the Nantes training.

Enough to compose a dream eleven of the players passed by the two clubs, before the duel between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Nantes this Sunday (9 p.m.), at the Parc des Princes, during the 29th day of Ligue 1. We have opted for a solid 3-4-3 for the occasion.

Goalkeeper: Mickaël Landreau

Trained with the Canaries, where he started with the pro at only 17 years old in Ligue 1 and with whom he won the title of champion of France in 2001 and two French Cups, in 1999 and 2000, Mickaël Landreau joined Paris Saint-Germain in 2006, for three seasons.

He added a line to his record in the capital, the Coupe de la Ligue, in 2008. In total, he kept Nantes goals 421 times and Parisians on 151 occasions.

Dominique Casagrande and Jérôme Alonzo have also gone through both clubs.

Defense: Antoine Kombouaré, Paul Le Guen and Mario Yepes

Heavy on the axis, with Antoine Kombouaré, Paul Le Guen and Mario Yepes.

Three players first passed through Nantes before joining Paris.

The first named is even from the Canaries training center.

In the capital, where he played 133 matches between 1991 and 1995, we will of course remember his masterful and decisive header against Real Madrid in 1993 (4-1).

Magical… One of his nine Parisian goals and certainly the most famous, if not the most famous in the history of the club!

Former coach of the reserve and the first team of PSG, the 57-year-old Kanak is now at the head of the FCN.

Le Guen was also part of this PSG of the golden age of the 90s, notably removing the Coupe des coupes in 1996, but also a championship (1994) and a shovelful of national cups (3 French Cups, 2 Cups of the League).

A figure.

Yepes meanwhile spent two years in Nantes before four seasons in Paris, with three cuts to the key and a pilot fish status for penalties following shirt pulls in the box.

Middle: Michel Bibard, Claude Makelele, Benoît Cauet, Sylvain Armand

On the right in our 3-4-3, the international right-back (6 selections) and 1984 Olympic champion Michel Bibard, French champion three times with Nantes (1977, 1980, 1983) and once in Paris (1986), rather as Nicolas Laspalles or Eric Cubillier.

On the left, a monument in the history of the two clubs, Sylvain Armand, the second most capped player in the annals of Paris (380 matches).

He was also champion with both teams (2001 in Nantes, 2013 in Paris).

Our two recuperators, Claude Makelele and Benoît Cauet, only had the chance to win this trophy with Nantes, in 1995. Bruno Carotti is one of the main omissions of our 11. The French international Fabrice Poullain could have done so. be too.

Note that this row of four is exclusively made up of FCN trained players.

Attack: Nicolas Ouédec, Vahid Halilhodzic, Patrice Loko

Three cadors, but three players who have marked the history of Nantes more than of PSG.

Especially Nicolas Ouédec, who scored only a small goal during his six months in Paris.

With Patrice Loko, he had guided the FCN until the title of champion of France in 1995 (40 goals between them in L1 during this famous season)… And Vahid Halilhodzic?

After having made the heyday of FC Nantes, the Bosnian striker was going to return home in 1986, to his sick father, when President Borelli took him over.

“Mr. Borelli”, he insisted in

Le Figaro

: “He told me:“ Vahid, I need you for the Champions League ”.

He gave me a lot of money (smile), I couldn't refuse. ”

A year later, he packed up after the death of his mother.

Note that these three players have the common point of having been top scorer in Ligue 1, even twice for Halilhodzic.

The step was far too high to imagine Alioune Touré or Fabrice Pancrate in this eleven.

Special mention to the latter for his performance in the Harlem Shake of FC Nantes
