For at least two more years, Yann Delaigue remains one of the members of the last XV of France to have dominated England at Twickenham in the Six Nations Tournament.
"Unfortunately" plague the former opening half of the Blues, winner of England on his lawn in 2005. For the former Toulouse, the men of Fabien Galthié do not have to be ashamed of their match, despite the defeat in the final minutes (23-20).
What is this defeat playing for?
YANN DELAIGUE
.
We missed the boat on occasions that we did not manage to materialize, it would have made a bigger difference to avoid ending up in this tense final.
I think of Jalibert who can not flatten, while he is in the goal in the first period, and also of several supernumeraries that we do not play very well.
The English finished better than the French ...
Their replacements made a good comeback, and that helped them.
We could also have brought in those we had left, like Jelonch who could have brought a little freshness to the third row.
Serin could also have been useful at the end of the game.
Antoine (
Editor's note: Dupont
) was perhaps a little tired: he was countered several times and made his little forward at the end.
But it's too easy to say you had to do this or that.
If Serin misses himself, one would wonder why we bother to bring out the best player in the world.

Six Nations Tournament: the notes of the defeat of the XV of France in England
How do you interpret this defeat in the course of the Blues?
I still see progress, because we are playing a very big rugby match where huge individuals stood out: Taofifenua, Marchand, Baille, Jalibert ... We knew what to do with the ball offensively, where we often played on the mistakes of others so far.
We saw a different French team than usual, with players willing to play more with the ball.
Symbolically, is it a halt?
It is not because we do not do the Grand Slam that we must forget that we can win the Tournament.
It would be a great performance for this group.
Besides, we weren't going to win every game until the World Cup.
We all hoped they could do it, but it's also part of the life and experience of a group to lose these games.
