FC Bayern Munich is in the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the 19th time.
After the 4: 1 (3: 0) in Rome, Munich won the second leg 2: 1 (1: 0).
Robert Lewandowski scored with a penalty kick (33rd minute), Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting two minutes after being substituted on (73rd).
Marco Parolo still scored the next goal (82nd).
The round of the last eight will be drawn on Friday (12 noon, TV: Sky; Stream: Dazn) in Nyon.
In contrast to the round of 16, no team is seeded and teams from one nation could also meet.
National goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was not in the squad because of a cold.
Alexander Nübel made his third season appearance for him.
The ailing Kingsley Coman was also not in the squad.
Thomas Müller acted as captain in the absence of Neuer.
At Lazio, Ciro Immobile, who has been goalless for six games, started out on the bench.
Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi said before the game that his team wanted to enjoy the final game in the premier class and have fun.
The guests obviously enjoyed attacking Bayern early on when they had possession.
At first, Lazio didn't get a good chance.
The early pressing at least ensured that the hosts had problems combining forward.
Leroy Sane's attempt from an acute angle (13th) and a header into Nübel's arms (16th) were the first noteworthy offensive actions.
With the clear first leg win behind them, Bayern had no reason to take the last risk on their own goal, so goal scenes were initially in short supply.
Until the penalty whistle.
At a Bayern corner, Vedat Muriqi clung to Leon Goretzka.
As in the first leg, after a bad bad pass, the team was served by coach Hansi Flick the lead on a silver platter.
Lewandowski turned safely (33rd).
Gentle program after the break
In the second half, it took almost 45 seconds for Bayern to have their first big chance.
Lewandowski moved into the penalty area at great speed from the left, then failed from short distance to Pepe Reina.
As a result, little happened in front of the gates, which is not surprising given the starting position.
Lazio would have needed four goals of their own without conceding a goal to at least reach extra time.
Both teams will also have to compete in the domestic leagues again this coming weekend.
Both Inzaghi and Flick made several early changes, Lewandowski hit the post again (67th), Choupo-Moting set a highlight with a nice hit with a lift over Reina (73rd).
Lazios Parolo still managed the connection goal with a head from close range (82nd).
