The Washington Wizards and Danny Abdia tonight (Thursday-Friday) broke a streak of five straight losses with a prestigious 122: 131 home win over the Utah Jazz, the team with the best balance in the league.
The Israeli for his part recorded a fairly lukewarm game in the 20 minutes he received with 2 points (0/3 from the field), 4 rebounds and one assist, but the two superstars of his team provided an evening for the Pantheon.
Russell Westbrook issued a tremendous triple-double of 35 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists.
Russ also added 2 steals and a block.
Washington's leading scorer this season, Bradley Bill sniped 43 points (16/24 from the field, 4/6 from three), handed out 5 assists and added 2 rebounds.
The Wizards climbed to a 25:15 balance, while Utah dropped to a 11:29 balance.
Washington dominated the game from the first quarter (including a 0:13 run) which it finished with a 20:31 lead.
In the second quarter the gap had already reached a peak of 24 points when at the break Scott Brooks' team went down by a 46:64 advantage.
In the second half, the Jazz got back to business a bit and narrowed the gap, thanks in part to Donovan Mitchell (42 points total) and ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv Joe Ingles (34 points with 8/10 of the three total).
However, the host woke up again and finished the third quarter as well with a gap of 18 points, 82: 100.
In the decisive quarter again the Jazz made comeback votes, with the gap to a single-digit gap of only 9 points, but on a day like this nothing could have prevented Washington from the prestigious victory.
Now Abdia and his friends will embark on an away game tour, which will begin on the night between Sunday and Monday (1:00 a.m. Israel time) with a game against the Brooklyn Nets star battery.
