Shooting player Wiam Suleiman made her way into the most focused and calm game among sports since 1997, and her career was full of impressive results and advanced positions in the tournaments she participated in.
In a statement to SANA’s sports representative, Suleiman said, “During my participation in the local championships, I ranked among the first three places in the republic’s championships with pistol and rifle shooting from 1997 until my last championship in 2015, and I won the West Asian silver for teams in 2005 and the third place for teams in the Arab championship in 2012.”
Suleiman added, “I went through a number of external training camps, during which we held a number of meetings, and I won the first place during the Iraq camp in 2002 with rifle shooting, as well as the first place in the Tunisian team camp in Syria in 2005.
Suleiman added that the level of the game in Syria is declining, as it lacks qualified trainers, in addition to a clear absence of external training camps that will develop the level of players. It is known that our game is a numbers game and the player needs friction to develop his level more.
Suleiman pointed out that the shooting game does not have a specific age to be played, and it seeks to maintain its level, but the difficulties it faces are represented in the lack of game requirements and equipment.
Suleiman called for the necessity of providing the requirements of the game, as it enjoys a remarkable turnout, especially from the young age groups.
