Refuah, 47, first coached Hapoel Tel Aviv from October 2017 to November 2018. He promoted her back to the Premier League, but after an unsuccessful start the following season, he was fired.
Ofir Haim was appointed in his place, but the team continued to deteriorate and Refuah returned to the lines about two months after he was fired.
At the end of that 2018/19 season, his relationship with the management ran aground and he was fired once again, with the parties even turning to arbitration.
Refuah served as the coach of Kiryat Shmona from October 2019 until the end of last season, when he managed to march the team to the top playoffs surprisingly.
A few weeks ago he was mentioned as a candidate to return to the team from the north, but decided to push the offer and Slobodan Drapic got the job.
