Davis was injured Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves when he collided with defenseman Jaden McDaniels after receiving a pass from teammate LeBron James.
His injury will be reviewed in about a month.
Davis had also twisted his ankle in that game, which required him to step out briefly.
He had scored nine points in 20 minutes when he had to leave the floor for good.
Davis (28) is averaging 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 27 games this season.
