X-Men: Abdia's defense reaps compliments Israel today

2021-12-19T08:18:24.609Z

The Israeli of Washington once again stopped the rival players in moments of truth in the victory over Utah • On and off the field do not hide their satisfaction from him

Washington defeated Utah 103: 109 tonight, and the good words are poured out on Danny Abdia, who played 30 minutes (season record) in which he scored 11 points, input 7 rebounds and mostly made life difficult for the jazz players he kept.

"The most offensive defender, the best morale, lives from a passing game. Mr. Coach, you have to let him play more," was asked by Wes Ansald Jr., Washington coach in a Twitter tweet, which referred to Abdia.

The coach replied, "If he finds a way to improve his shooting finish, then we will really benefit from him."

Following that tweet was written by the followers: "Others can sit on the bench, Danny (and others) should be on the court."

And the compliments are not for nothing.

Abdia turns out to be a real stopper on defense.

Even if jazz star Donovan Mitchell scored 32 points, in the minutes that Abdia kept him he had a hard time producing points.

Abdia kidnapped him, blocked him and stopped him during the course that ensured the victory.

In an interview he gave in the middle of the game, Abdia said he hopes to mark X at the end of the game, his hallmark in victories in which he excelled on defense.

Indeed he did so at the end, with Washington star Bradley Bill also pointing one towards him.

We hope so too, Deni!

"Danny has proven he can be a defensive stopper at times. That should keep him on the floor," said Ansald Jr. himself, when Abdia said he invests quite a bit in working on defense, including a personal trainer. "

Abdia also justifies his coach when he said: "I can do a lot more on the offensive side, be more aggressive, be more creative. I believe my offense will improve over time."

In the end, Abdia received an interesting compliment, which includes a sting to a lost NBA star.

"Danny would be Ben Simmons with a good shot, if only he would let him open as a point guard," suggested journalist Martin Gorthot to Ansald Jr..

Now Abdia, who for the first time scored three games in a row in double figures, needs to take the compliments to his attention and continue to justify them on the floor, so that his coach also understands that his place is there.
