Olympic Games: the meetings not to be missed (especially) on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in Beijing

2022-02-09T17:10:55.711Z

The Americans Chloe Kim (snowboard) and Nathan Chen (figure skating) and the Frenchman Alexis Pinturault (alpine skiing) are on the bill for the Olympic night.

Snowboard, women's half pipe final (1st round at 2:30).

American Chloe Kim (who at 17 became the youngest to win a gold medal in snowboarding at the 2018 Olympics) dominated the qualifications.

She, who was crushed by fame and disturbed by injuries, had, after the gold of the 2018 Olympics, put snowboarding on hold before finding her way back to the slopes and the podiums.

She beat the Japanese Mitsuki Ono and the Chinese Cai Xuetong (83.25 pts), the Japanese Sena and Ruki Tomita taking 5th and 6th places.

Figure skating, men's individual event (2h38).

Japanese double Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu (8th in the short program) having lost all hope of a historic treble, American Nathan Chen, reigning triple world champion, has the cards in hand to win gold.

He who launched the fashion for quadruple jumps.

Alpine skiing, combined (downhill at 3:30 am, slalom at 7:15 am).

The combined (downhill, then slalom) which has disappeared from the World Cup calendar for two seasons, offers Alexis Pinturault (silver medalist in Pyeongchang in 2018) a real chance of a medal.

Less prominent this winter, the Courchevel skier (11th in the Super G to launch his Olympics in Beijing) is still chasing gold at the Games.

The only one missing from his prestigious list.
