At FC Hohenpolding, the course is already being set for the new season.

Dimi Petkos will be the new coach in the summer.

Two new players are already here.

Hohenpolding – After the departure of player-coach Thomas Bachmaier, who will switch to BSG Taufkirchen in the new season, Dimi Petkos will take over as coach at FCH.

FC Hohenpolding has now introduced him as well as a new goalkeeping coach and three newcomers.

The former Altenerdinger trainer Petkos could not attend the performance in person due to the corona quarantine regulations.

In Hohenpolding, a player-coach will be switched to a non-playing trainer in the new season.

"We were basically of the opinion that our squad is strong enough that we want to continue with a normal coach at our side," said FCH department head Wolfgang Stummer in an interview with the local newspaper.

"We have a well-mixed team, with a lot of young but also older players who can take on responsibility.

And some of the young players didn't have a normal coach on the sidelines in the men's division." And he adds: "With our newcomers, we are also sure that we can replace Bache."

In the summer, right-back Okan Manav and left winger Daniele Eibl join FC Hohenpolding from BSG Taufkirchen.

In addition, those responsible brought Basti Grichtmaier back from the Moosener youth.

Eibl had already promised to return to his home club before the change of coach was decided.

Goalkeeper coach Klaus Kammhuber was also committed to this.

He should intervene at the start of the second half of the season and continue to promote Maximilian Grichtmaier with his goalkeeper trainer license.

Petkos was first contacted by club vice president Norbert Bauer in November.

He is looking forward to his new task.

"This is a young, hungry and disciplined group," said the new coach.

He expects a performance boost from his new team.

“In the current situation, everyone is very focused on the player-coach.

When a coach is just on the sidelines, it's different.

Then the quality spreads over everyone's shoulders.

Everyone has to take on even more responsibility,” the experienced coach knows.

He has set himself the goal of “showing beautiful football”.

Hohenpolding is already playing a decent role in the district class this season.

The fifth in the table is currently seven points behind the second from Eichenried.

In addition, Hohenpolding still has a game up its sleeve.

"We want to stay tuned.

Everything is open,” emphasizes FCH Vice Bauer.

And Stummer adds: "Moosinning will probably be through.

We don't set the goal now as ascending.

But we definitely want to stay up front.” At least until the end of the round, player-coach Bachmaier still has the say in FC Hohenpolding.
