With a lot of effort, FC St. Pauli has stopped its negative run and is back at the top of the 2nd Bundesliga.

On the 22nd match day, Hamburg won 3-2 (2-0) after five league games without three points at Jahn Regensburg and are tied with Werder Bremen (both 41 points) in the lead.

HSV is third (40) after beating Heidenheim.

On Sunday (1.30 p.m.) Darmstadt 98 (39) can overtake Hannover 96 again in the promotion race.

Hamburg got off to a dream start in front of 7,605 spectators.

Etienne Amenyido (7th) brought the guests on course.

Goalscorer Guido Burgstaller (11th, penalty kick) followed up with his 16th goal of the season, after the break Daniel Kyereh (66th).

Andreas Albers (56th) and David Otto (73rd) scored for Regensburg (31 points), who suffered their third defeat in a row and are ninth after just one win in the past nine games.

FC St. Pauli's lead at the break could have been even higher given the good chances.

After the change of sides, however, Albers' header brought the hosts back into play after a corner and a wild exchange of blows developed.

Especially with standards, the defensive of Hamburg seemed extremely vulnerable.

Jahn Regensburg will continue next Saturday at 8.30 p.m. at 1. FC Nürnberg, FC St. Pauli will host Hannover 96 on Sunday (1.30 p.m.).
