Red Bull Salzburg welcomes FC Bayern to a full house in the Champions League.

Still, there is trouble.

And slight concerns about Karim Adeyemi.

Munich/Salzburg – "Sold out!" With this headline, Red Bull Salzburg reported at the weekend that the first leg in the round of 16 of the Champions League* against FC Bayern Munich this Wednesday evening (9 p.m., here in the live ticker) with 30,000 spectators within hours was sold out.

Because: After the recent relaxation of the corona virus in Austria, football stadiums can be used to full capacity again.

Red Bull Salzburg vs. FC Bayern: Trouble with ticketing

"We are very pleased that a sensible and responsible solution was found shortly before this historic game for the whole of Austria.

It's not just about football, but about many other events which - mainly because they are held in the open air and in combination with other security measures - pose almost no risk," explained Managing Director Stephan Reiter on the decision of the authorities.

We strongly advise against buying tickets like this!

But: Despite the great joy about a sold-out arena, there was also trouble about the tickets for the premier class duel.

The Austrian series champion said on his website: "Since there are again a lot of illegal third-party providers and websites that offer tickets for our home game in the UEFA Champions League against FC Bayern, we advise against buying tickets like this (e.g. via Viagogo, Willhaben etc.) from!” Such tickets would be “cancelled without exception”, the Salzburgers further explained.

But that is not enough.

Red Bull Salzburg vs. FC Bayern: Huge rush for Champions League tickets

Apparently, the rush for the coveted tickets for the game against the German Bundesliga record champions* was so great that there were allegedly difficulties on the ticketing website.

A football fan wrote on Twitter: "Since 10 a.m. I've probably updated the page 5,000 times and was on the hotline for 3 hours...really a very bad online presence and even worse customer service." Another user said that the side was "crashed" with him.

On the other hand, Karim Adeyemi, who according to various media reports is about to sign Borussia Dortmund*, should be fully resilient again.

The only 20-year-old German international recently had to undergo tonsillectomy.

"He missed large parts of the preparation, so he's still missing a few grains," said German RB coach Matthias Jaissle after the Austrian champions' 2-1 win at the traditional club Rapid Vienna.

Adeyemi, who leads the Austrian Bundesliga's top scorer list with 14 goals, made his comeback against the club in the capital on Saturday.

The striker was trained in the youth of FC Bayern* and at SpVgg Unterhaching on the outskirts of the Isar metropolis, his parents live in Haching and work for the regional league team there.

And so they should sit among the spectators on Wednesday evening, while other fans went away empty-handed at the ticketing.
