Barcelona can be a bit of a joy and a bit disappointed from the dramatic 2: 2 draw they pulled last night (Sunday) in the derby against Espanyol.
Barça had hoped to achieve a victory that would bring them closer to just two points from third-placed Betis, but after a big turnaround by the opponent, only settled for a point after a late equalizer in overtime by Luc de Jong.
"De Jong can serve as an example to anyone in the locker room thanks to his professionalism," his coach Xavi said of him at the end of the game.

An intriguing event that occupied the spectators of the game last night and also today took place in the game yesterday.
When he was behind, Xavi put Nico into the campaign for the last twenty minutes at Gabi's expense, and sent with him a mysterious note that the player read with his teammates.
"I wanted to pass on to the players some instructions," Xavi explained without saying what was written on the note.
"I felt they were not following my instructions so I had to write them down on paper."
Xavi knows what he is doing.

'The paper that you sent to the pitch?'
Xavi: "I changed the tactic, and because of the loudness from the fans, I could not talk to the players, so I wrote it on the paper."
