This Monday, for her last competition, Lucile Lefèvre competed disguised as a tiger during the big air snowboard qualifications.
“
This is my very last competition.
I injured my knee in the slopestyle, so I couldn't do tricks today (…) It's more fun
” to compete in disguise, explained the 26-year-old snowboarder.
Thanks to the Swiss Nicolas Huber, owner of the disguise and silver medalist in slopestyle at the 2017 World Snowboard Championships, who was kind enough to lend it to him.
The snowboarder, "
a crazy man, (had) the costume so I asked if he could give it to me
" for the qualifications on February 14, said Lefèvre.

The outfit is in reference to the Chinese New Year, placed under the sign of the tiger this year.

Everyone wants a picture with me.
It's great fun.
Asked about the fact that the images of her outfit were probably going around the world, the Frenchwoman assured “
feel good
”.
“
The world should be fun (because) there are a lot of problems.
If everyone was at peace, the world would be a better place (...) this is the message I want to share.

Lefèvre, two World Cup podiums during her career, finished 29th in big air qualifying on Monday after being eliminated from the slopestyle snowboarding event of these Olympics in qualifying as well (27th).
The Briançonnaise never let herself be discouraged.
“
When I was three years old, I had a major hip disease and the doctors told me that I couldn't walk or play sports
,” she recalled.
“
But then I did (...) snowboarding and I made progress.
And I am here (at the Winter Olympics) for the second time
”.
The next stage of her life, Lucile Lefèvre intends to spend it with her father, in his sailing school.
And his favorite discipline will never be far away.
