Seven months after the Tokyo Olympics, Great Britain is overtaken by doping.

Silver medalist in the 4x 100m, the British relay was stripped of its silver medal.

Italy had won the Olympic title ahead of Great Britain, Canada and China.

CJ Ujah had tested positive for two banned substances, ostarine and S-23, commonly used to increase muscle mass.

In his defense before the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the 27-year-old sprinter explained that the products had been accidentally consumed through a contaminated supplement.

But this Friday, the judgment was unfavorable to him.

“I accept with sadness the decision rendered today by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

I want to clarify that I unknowingly consumed a contaminated supplement and that is why an anti-doping rule violation occurred at the Tokyo Olympics.

I sincerely regret that this inadvertently resulted in the removal of the silver medals from the men's 4x100m relay team at the Tokyo Olympics.

It's something I will regret for the rest of my life,” CJ Ujah told the Daily Mail.

His teammates Richard Kilty, Zharnel Hughes and Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake are also deprived of their medals.

CJ Ujah could be suspended for four years.

On Friday, Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare was handed a massive 10-year ban for testing positive for multiple substances at the Olympics and failing to cooperate with the ensuing investigation.
