Opinion | The Giant and Gnu: Bnei Herzliya won a property called Chinano Onoako | Israel today

Hapoel Tel Aviv prepared for him, but it still did not help her in front of the star who arranged for his team to win its first state cup after 27 years • Oren Aharoni leads a great collection work of Zofi Abdia and Eldad Akunis in the summer • Sean Dawson proved that serious injuries must not bother you to be ex Factor in winning the title • And the red fans? Heart with them • Interpretation

Onoaku

"Every day after school, the children used to go play in the huge garden. It was a big and charming garden, with soft green grass, here and there over the grass stood amazing flowers and several fruit trees inside the garden, the birds sat on the trees and sang sweetly, the children used to stop playing. Their to listen to them. 'How happy we are here!'

They cried for each other.

One day the giant returned to the garden, the giant set out on a journey of 7 years and beyond and decided to return to his castle.

When he arrived he saw the children playing in the kindergarten.

"What are you doing here?"

He shouted loudly, the children ran away.

"This garden is mine," said the giant.

"Anyone can understand that, and I will not let anyone play it except me."

The giant built a high wall around the garden, and hung a large sign "No entry for children" (Oscar Wilde, opening of "The Giant and his Garden").

The game of basketball was invented for tall players.

Whoever gets closer to the basket should win.

But the rules that have been added to the constitution over the years, including the three-second pitch, the shooting clock, and especially the three-point arc, have shifted the center of gravity of the game out to the guards, dribblers and long-range shooters.

And yet, in the presence of a highly talented and dominant player, basketball is simply more beautiful.

Because it is more diverse, eye-catching, and requires team play and smart activation by the axis player, which is a Torah in itself.

Above all, group consciousness, priorities and connection at high levels are required in order to benefit from it.

And so the Onwaco 50s index obviously reflects his phenomenal abilities, but also the gameplay wisdom and awareness of all the players in blue to their giant, which has given them an asset that changes the balance of power.

And as much as Hapoel prepared for him, and knew he was there, she was helpless in front of him.

Take pictures and record.

He will not stay here long.

Big or

Coach Aharoni got a good team in the summer.

Excellent compilation work by Eldad Akunis and Zofi Abdia.

And even though this is his first real season as head coach, he approached it wisely and calmly.

No ego, no attempt to impose a game method that he has concocted, no power and control games.

It produces a framework, and allows players to express their talent and understanding of the game within these boundaries freely.

Certainly he corrects, directs, continues to teach basketball.

But mostly releases them into action.

It's the confidence of a veteran coach.

And Oren's personality connects the group into one unit.

Team connection and friendships between players have tremendous value for team success.

People are willing to fight harder for someone they love.

Any gossip about professionals who get a lot of money and are supposed to compensate in performance, barely covers 20% of the motivation.

Often even interferes.

Not only Onoaku, all of Herzliya is a high group.

She came up with a five in which each player had an advantage over his opponent.

Sandy Cohen's save for Jacoben Brown was key to the defense.

And the other key was the regional.

A defense that many coaches are afraid of, because when you snatch this basket on the coach, there is no personal responsibility.

But this defense stuck Hapoel's team game, forced it to think, and prevented a foul problem.

Aharoni managed in art the transition between the types of defenses, and felt right whenever he had to return to the personal.

He kept the verb short and broke her momentum every time, especially in the first half.

And so he went down to the half only 2 behind, after an excellent half from the opponent.

But with far fewer offenses, 2:14 from three who knew they would straighten out, and with Onwako dominating the color.

Then he realized he was going to win.

By the second half, the players had already won, their small decisions, the transcendence in the critical moments, and especially Sean Dawson.

Sean First

As an honorary member of the Knee Dislocated and Cross-Strap Club, I watch every Sean Dawson penetration with half an eye.

The man tore a cruciate ligament, then Achilles as well.

These are injuries that you should not return to the field from, maybe just play petanque with the seniors in the backrest.

To be able to return to being competitive at the highest levels, to be the X Factor who won a game for a degree, is a combination of natural talent, determination and courage, medical and physiotherapist work at the highest levels, and above all mental ability and supreme willpower.

Examples:

Kevin Durant, Clay Thompson.

At the beginning of the season, his choice to return to Herzliya seemed a bit strange.

This is a player who went to the NBA Summer League a few years ago with the goal of getting a contract.

But Sean, presumably along with his smart and experienced father, chose to go to a place where he would stand out and be significant.

And there is also a trophy, after the championship of Rishon Lezion (which he also took under the nose of Danny Franco, then the coach of Jerusalem).

"And the road is still open along."

Zofi beauty

Eldad Akunis received praise from me after the semi-finals, which will surely continue to the cup parties.

He has been the spirit of the club's sails for more than twenty years, and it is a trophy that he and Zeev Baram, his partner in the road and management, deserve.

But the addition of Zofar Abdia to Herzliya is a wonderful move for the club, for Oren Aharoni, and for all basketball.

The role of professional manager is controversial in Israeli sports, and often fails due to the ego problems of coaches.

I will not forget how when my father was appointed professional manager at Hapoel Holon, somewhere in the happy 80s, the coach in response stopped dressing me for games.

So as written above Aharoni has no ego issues and fears, and Zofi has no need for credit, so that works out.

All in all, he brought to the club the coach who worked with his son at Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the senior who took a double in Croatia and trained with Danny at summer camp.

Two "modest" donations that shaped the group.

He observes, advises from his rich experience, and does not intervene by force, only on request.

This is a true model that we hope more groups will adopt.

And there are enough past Israeli players and excellent veteran coaches who are suitable for this position.

Zofi is groundbreaking, and not just in dress.

And what poor fans are eating their hearts out.

The truth is I thought Hapoel would win.

But it was because I really wanted the team to bring the trophy to the 50th birthday party of the late Uri Shelef, who was one of the founders of Hapoel Ussishkin and the resurrection leader of Hapoel Tel Aviv. The birthday will be on Saturday and will be celebrated this afternoon at the Tel Aviv club with all his family and friends.

So maybe Hapoel may not have won, but the trophy will come to the party, only through Ella, Uri's sister, who is married to Oren Aharoni.

everything stays in the family.

And Hapoel could have won the trophy, and then the column would have glorified Danny Franco, Bar Timor, and James Young, and Jacoben Brown, and the red crowd, and the way they did from the Second Division back to the center of the stage.

And the beauty of the great final game, which deserves to be praised by all.

It's good that this game reminded us that winning and losing in sports are built on small actions, small mistakes, and uncertainty.

And when you win it is pure joy and not relief.

And when you lose it is sadness and grief but also pride.

So as President Zalman Shazar announced after one of the football finals: "Respect for the winners, cheers for the losers!".
