Will this be the world champion car in 2022?
Red Bull
with
world champion
Max Verstappen
and teammate
Sergio Pérez
was one of the first racing teams to present their car for the upcoming season.
"I've tried to personally prepare as well as possible for the new season, but as far as the car is concerned, a lot is unknown this year," said Verstappen about the new
RB18
.

Reason: Formula 1 is changing large parts of its
technical regulations
for the 2022 season .
The aerodynamic concept has been fundamentally simplified and standardized, and significantly larger 18-inch wheels are now used instead of the previous 13-inch wheels.
The new Red Bull shows many features that will be characteristic of the new generation: a sweeping front wing with large end plates, overall clear shapes and significantly fewer aerodynamic subtleties.
The long, pointed nose of the RB18 was also noticeable.
In the case of Verstappen's car, this year's
starting number 1
of the world champion will be emblazoned on it.

There are also visual changes at Mercedes: The Silver Arrows of
Vice World Champion Lewis Hamilton
and his new teammate
George Russell
are back on the track with the traditional
silver paintwork
.
In the past two years, the racing team had entered a black car as a sign against racism and discrimination as part of the global Black Lives Matter movement.

The steering wheel is the only element that was carried over from its predecessor in the
W13
, according to Mercedes.
98 percent
of
the time it is a new car.
"We don't even know if we can fight for the title at all," said motorsport director Toto Wolff.
However, this is likely to be low-level.
The changes are intended to break the dominance of the big teams, but that won't happen anytime soon.

Scuderia Ferrari
, most recently third in the Constructors' World Championship, wants to
take the opportunity and attack
with their drivers
Charles Leclerc

Carlos Sainz .
“This season will be very important for the team and for us drivers.
Expectations are high,” said Leclerc.
Sainz said: "It's time we took the team to a new level.
The car looks aggressive and radical.«

As usual, the
F1-75
is kept in a traditional red, but also has distinctive black elements on the front and rear wings.
The fairly flat air intakes and the pointed nose are also striking.

McLaren
also
wants to “further close the gap to the top” with the
MCL36
, said team boss Andreas Seidl during the online presentation of the new car at the Woking headquarters.
McLaren is once again relying on drivers
Lando Norris
, whose contract has been extended until 2025, and
Daniel Ricciardo.

Sebastian Vettel
and
Lance Stroll
are also
getting a new company car: the
AMR22
has remained in »British Racing Green«.
A sweeping front wing with large end plates, clear shapes and significantly fewer aerodynamic refinements characterize the bolide – as does a pointed nose.

"Our car looks good, but what's fastest is always nice," said Vettel.
And speed can be used at
Aston Martin
.
Last season it was only enough for seventh place in the team world championship and just 77 points.

What is particularly striking about the
FW44
of the
Williams
racing team is the new color scheme - this was also due to the fact that Williams did not initially present the right car, but only the paintwork.

Alexander Albon

The
Haas
racing team was last in the Constructors' World Championship, but was the first to present the new vehicle for the coming season - at least pictures of it.
In terms of coloring, little has changed on
Mick
Schumacher
and
Nikita Masepin
's VF-22
: the Russian national colors of white, red and blue are still dominant.

The main sponsor is Uralkali, the chemical company owned by Russian billionaire Dmitry Masepin - Nikita's father.
On February 21st and 27th, the racing teams Alpine and Alfa Romeo will present their cars.
Initially, there were no pictures of AlphaTauri.
It is expected that some cars will look different again, at least in some details, during the subsequent test drives.
