Before the game day, St. Pauli was the leader of the table, now the club has even fallen out of the promotion ranks. The reason: A weak performance against outsiders Hannover. Competitor Darmstadt also dropped points.

Yesterday Bremen and HSV, today St. Pauli and Darmstadt: All teams that were in first to fourth place in the 2nd Bundesliga before this 23rd match day dropped points.

St. Paulis 0:3 stood out negatively.

The stumble of the top teams means that Werder (42 points) is the new table leader, followed by HSV, Darmstadt and St. Pauli (all 41) and Schalke 04 (40) in fifth place.

A game to forget for the FCSP: Coach Timo Schultz's team lost surprisingly clearly against Hannover and lost the lead in the table.

Dominik Kaiser (40th minute), Sebastian Kerk (57th) and Sebastian Stolze (72nd) scored for the guests in Hamburg's bad weather, the Kiezkicker lost for the first time this season at the Millerntor - and after 28 years they are still waiting for a win home around 96.

The Hamburgers were lucky that Cedric Teuchert (44th) and the strong Kerk (38th and 48th) could not use good chances for Hanover.

To make matters worse, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh missed a penalty, he only hit the crossbar (81st).

Guido Burgstaller had previously awarded the point, but the penalty kick had to be repeated.

Darmstadt 98 missed the return to the top of the table.

The lilies did not get more than a draw against outsiders Rostock and remained without a win in the third game in a row.

After the setbacks against Hamburger SV (0:5) and at Hannover 96 (2:2), Darmstadt lost a lead despite being superior in their own stadium.

Tobias Kempe (24th) scored when coach Torsten Lieberknecht returned after a corona infection, Danylo Sikan (65th) scored the equalizer for Hansa.

Second game, second win: Düsseldorf left the relegation place in a short time under new coach Daniel Thioune.

Scorer Rouwen Hennings (5th, 90th) and Daniel Ginczek (51st, penalty kick) scored for Fortuna.

Aue, for which Prince Owusu scored (77th), has now been waiting for a win for nine games.

The hosts used the momentum from the win against Schalke 04 (2:1).

After a cross from Khaled Narey, Hennings headed in to take the lead.

Even then, the former Bundesliga club stayed on the trigger.

But Narey (7th) and Ginczek (8th) forgave.

Aue usually just ran behind and was able to thank goalkeeper Martin Männel for only going into the break with a goal behind.

Shortly after the change of sides, however, Männel was powerless.

Jan Hochscheidt fouled Sobottka, Ginczek converted the penalty.

Aue is the last ten points behind the relegation place.
