MU: no C1 next year, no Ronaldo?
According to the
Daily Mirror
, Manchester United will not oppose the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo next summer if that is the wish of the Portuguese striker, under contract until June 2023. But there is a condition for that: that the Red Devils fail to qualify for the next Champions League.
To qualify, two solutions: win the C1 this season, or finish in the top 4 of the Premier League.
Manchester are currently 4th, but Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolverhampton will overtake them if they win their late matches.
The idea of a departure from Ronaldo (37), who returned to the English club last summer, has been stirring the local press in recent weeks.

Emerson says he is “
happy
” in Lyon
On loan from Chelsea to Olympique Lyonnais this season, Emerson almost returned to London this winter.
The Blues negotiated with OL following the serious injury of their left-back Ben Chilwell, but Lyon held firm.
The 27-year-old Italian international gave details of this situation to the club's official media: "
I did not return to Chelsea because I promised Juninho that I would stay for a season
".
Leaving during the season, Juninho was the sporting director behind Emerson's recruitment.
"
I am a man of my word,
" he added.
I like being in Lyon, I want to be here.
For next season, it's hard to say because it depends on the clubs, but I'm happy here.

Bielsa to leave Leeds
Will Marcelo Bielsa still be Leeds coach after the summer of 2022?
The
Daily
Mirror
tends to answer in the negative.
The Peacocks have already begun maneuvers to find a successor to the Argentinian, who should leave his post at the end of the season.
“
No one can stay at this level if they can't guarantee 100% enthusiasm, players or coaches
,” Bielsa said at a press conference this week.
After a crazy 2020-21 season that ended in 9th place in the Premier League, Leeds are no longer on the rise and are in 15th place.
Bielsa (66), in Leeds since 2018, had never stayed so long on the bench of a club.
