Denise Herrmann returns to Germany as an Olympic champion.
A total of 64 members of the German Olympic team were welcomed at Frankfurt Airport on Sunday.
Biathlon heroine Denise Herrmann won the individual gold medal and relay bronze at the Beijing Winter Olympics.
After returning home from the Olympics, the 33-year-old could no longer hold back her tears.

"My family is here, many friends came, drew posters and put on a few hits," said Denise Herrmann after arriving at Frankfurt Airport.
"I didn't expect that, it's a long way from home." Herrmann is a sports soldier in Frankenberg in Saxony and lives and trains in Ruhpolding.
Now she is looking forward to "a few quiet hours" with the family.
"You really notice the support, that was an extremely emotional moment," said Herrmann.
Herrmann presented her precious metal at a photo shoot and was visibly touched by the reception.
Emotionally touched, the athlete shed a few tears of joy.

"They weren't easy games, the weeks before were actually the hardest.
Once you were there, it was almost like you could breathe deeply.
We were mentally very tense,” said Herrmann.
"It wasn't the number one winter sports resort," said Herrmann, who, however, found no "flaw" in the organization.
"From an athlete's point of view, they were good games."
Her biathlon colleague Erik Lesser, who made his brutal Beijing conclusion public, has a different opinion.
