TSV 1860 Munich remains without a win for the fourth game in a row.

Michael Köllner's team is threatened with an irrelevant remaining half of the season.

– It should be a month of catching up – it has become a frustrating February.

After two playful victories (Braunschweig, Meppen) and the complete disgrace against Türkgücü (1:2), the Löwen wanted to get back on track against Halle, flanked by 6100 fans who defied the weather and the unloved Monday evening.

However: Even the fourth game in the shortest month ended in disappointment.

0:2 home defeat against the better footballing 14th table. "Today the simplest ball didn't go in for us," complained 1860 coach Michael Köllner: "The penalty kick to make it 0:2 was then the premature knockout."

You could see that Köllner's derby losers wanted to make amends, but it was never possible for Stefan Lex and Co. to overcome their deep-seated insecurity.

Significant: Halle scored coolly after a corner kick (53', Shcherbakovski), the Löwen, on the other hand, didn't even get the ball 30 centimeters over the goal line, which the excellent HFC keeper Schreiber had left in the biggest 1860 chance (Biankadi after a cross from Lex /56.).

Or they shot themselves (Deichmann met Bär/80.).

Or they pushed the ball into the arms of Schreiber (Neudecker, 72nd).

Bitter too: Eberwein provided clarity early on with an unjustified penalty (62').

"It was a game between two good teams, hard fought," Köllner tried to give a (too) positive view: "It's a shame that we didn't take our chances - and didn't defend the backcourt well at the set piece.

Nevertheless, I believe that the team showed a much better face today than on Wednesday.”

TSV 1860: fight against triviality

However, the overall impression remains bleak.

Fourth winless game in a row, still eight points adrift of third place – 1860 find themselves in the middle of nowhere in the table.

In the last twelve games, several miracles would have to happen for these lions to be able to fight for promotion again.

Köllner apparently sees it the same way.

"Now we've lost two games in a row," he said. "I don't think we need to concern ourselves with such issues.

Now it's just a matter of putting on a good game in Zwickau and scoring points again.” Without Semi Belkahia, however.

The central defender saw his fifth yellow card after the alleged foul on Huth before the penalty.

So under pressure to go to Zwickau?

The fifth and final game of the month - it won't be able to save February, but maybe the lions can at least make sure it doesn't become spring that feels like November.
