The complicated situation between Russia and Ukraine continues to give its signals on European basketball as well.
Four CSKA Moscow players have decided to leave Russia following the situation and it is still unclear whether and when they will return.
These are the Tournika Shanglia, Yoans Poigettman, Ipa Leundberg and Marius Grigonis.
"For personal reasons related to the current situation and the possible consequences the players are returning to their countries," the Russian club said in a statement.
"When the situation returns to normal, the contractual situation with the players will be resolved."
Arturas Gooditis and Shabaz Napier are also leaving Zenit St Petersburg, as is coach Kazis Maxvitis, who works for Russian Pharma.
Also, the Czech national team will send to Ukraine all the proceeds from the tickets sold for the game against the Bulgarian national team in the World Cup qualifiers.
As you may recall, the Israeli coach of the Czech Republic, Nano Ginzburg, is also working as a coach at the Ukrainian Promitei, which has been in Nymburk for several weeks due to the situation.
