One of Brazil's biggest derby matches was canceled yesterday (Saturday) shortly before the opening whistle, after players from his bodies were injured when Internacional fans attacked their team bus on the way to the game against the city rival.
The game between the two main clubs in Porto Alegre is known as the "Granal", but Germio withdrew from the game at Inter's Beirut-Rio stadium after stones shattered through the bus windows and hit players.
Germio posted a photo of the contact Matthias Villascenti was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
The club also showed photographs of shattered windows and a large rock, which he said hit the Paraguayan player.
"After the cowardly and absurd aggression our team has endured, we have told the Football Association of our decision not to play in the derby," Germio announced in the official announcement.
"In addition to the technical imbalance and lack of sporting atmosphere that this criminal act causes, Germio's decision also shows our denial of all types of violence."
Internacional also said she was disgusted by the fan violence, adding that two suspects had been arrested.
The Brazilian media later reported that Villascenti suffered a concussion and a skull injury.
He was also treated for facial cuts and spent the night in hospital for further supervision.

It was the second time in three days that a bus carrying a Brazilian team had been attacked on its way to the game, after the Bahia players were injured before the game on Thursday night against Sampaio in Salvador.
Also that night fans with metal rods invaded the pitch and attacked the Parana players, forcing their game suspension against Unio Baltrao in Curitiba.
