While the players of the France team wanted to put a Ukrainian flag on their tracksuit this weekend, in solidarity with the Ukrainian population, victim of Russian aggression, the FFT goes further with the initiative "
tennis French for Ukraine and Peace
".
A call for donations for the benefit of the support of Ukrainian children, young people and families by UNICEF has been launched with the entire French tennis family, the FFT itself directly contributing to this fund to the tune of 150,000 euros.
And it is Nicolas Mahut who is the ambassador of this solidarity program.

The president of the FFT Gilles Moretton announced:
"A call for donations for the benefit of the support of Ukrainian children, young people and families by UNICEF will be launched by the French Tennis Federation with its 18 regional leagues, its 95 departmental committees, its 7340 clubs, its 100,000 volunteers and its million licensees as well as all the other components of the tennis family
”.
While the seven international tennis bodies (4 Grand Slam tournaments, ATP, WTA and ITF) have also decided to unite to structure a solidarity effort which will be communicated very soon, Gilles Moretton also indicated that the Federation welcomes Ukrainian players so that they can train and be accommodated.
