Danny Abdia speaks ahead of Washington's return from vacation (Washington official website)
Washington waited almost a month for the premiere of Christopher Forzingis, and tonight (Sunday through Monday) she finally saw the big man on the field, and it turns out there was something to look forward to.
Forzingis scored 25 points in his first game in the Washington uniform, leading his team to a 123-133 victory over Indiana.
It was the chin's first game since Jan. 29, following a knee injury, and tonight he also played just 21:19 minutes, and yet provided an encouraging stat line, giving a lot of hope to his teammates.

"I'm happy to be on the pitch, even with a minute limit," Forzingis said at the end, "I tried to stay calm, not do too much, play right. And the most important thing is that we won."
Kyle Kozma added 23 points for Washington, which dominated the game in the third quarter where it scored 39 points at 61 percent.
Washington improved its balance to 34:29, and is in tenth place in the East, leading to a play-in.
It is two games away from Brooklyn and Atlanta above it, and two games above New York below it.
The one who was very much waiting for Forzingis to join is Danny Abdia, and tonight in the victory over the Israeli Pacers he again recorded good numbers: 10 points (3 from 8 from the field, 4 from 4 from the line), 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 31 minutes.
Abdia was also responsible for one of the moments that jumped the local crowd: 1:41 minutes to the end he led an outburst, penetrated the basket, and found Forzingis to sink in a Hal-Hop set of 119: 124.
"Everyone was great and they were looking for me," Forzingis said at the end, "and then Danny gave me this Libya at the end ... It was a great moment for me, in my first game in Washington, and I look forward to more moments like that."

Malcolm Brogdon (27 points) further shrank on the other side to Indiana, but Forzingis added another 2 points after an offensive rebound and dunk.
"Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise," Washington coach Wes Ansald Jr. said of the Latvian's ability, "I know we had to be very thoughtful about the minutes and periods of time we played, but he handled it great."
