Munich – Tuesday evening is about nothing less than reaching the quarter-finals of the Champions League* when FC Bayern* welcomes them to the Allianz Arena Salzburg.

Since the first leg, Munich have scored two threes with a 4-1 win over Fürth and a narrow 1-0 away win in Frankfurt, but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Leverkusen at the weekend.

In the round of 16 second leg against the Austrians, coach Julian Nagelsmann expects an improvement in performance.

This is also necessary, because in the first leg almost three weeks ago, FC Bayern only managed to equalize in the last minute through Kingsley Coman.

Salzburg have not conceded a goal since the draw against Munich, after a 2-0 win over Wolfsberg and a goalless draw against LASK, the team of ex-Bundesliga professional Matthias Jaissle recently beat SCR Altach 4-0.

The results are all the more remarkable because the coach had to manage a Corona * outbreak between the two round of 16 games.
