Haim Zidenberg, former Maccabi Haifa goalkeeper, passed away today (Monday) at the age of 76. Maccabi Haifa reports: "The Maccabi Haifa football club shares the grief of the Zeidenberg family over the death of Haim, the club's former goalkeeper"
It was also reported: "Haim is a goalkeeper who came from Maccabi Holon from the Second Division. The redheaded goalkeeper was the key behind Maccabi Haifa's iron defense in the 1969/70 season, when it conceded only five goals in 15 games and was crowned winter champion. His excellence led him to the squad. "The Israeli team and to his credit one appearance in a bad game against the German Minsengladbach. May his memory be blessed."
The late Zeidenberg made 68 appearances in the league and played for Maccabi Haifa from 1968 to 1970. In 1970 he was called up to the Israeli team by coach Emanuel Sheffer. The team then faced Borussia Mönchengladbach at Bloomfield Stadium and lost 6: 0.
