Is the crisis between the basketball association and the league administration on the way to a solution?
As we reported last week, the special team set up by the Ministry of Sports, headed by the ministry's chief of staff Guy Guttman and with the participation of representatives from both organizations, has come to understand how the crisis can be resolved.
Among the main recommendations obtained with the consent of all the representatives, it was stated that the Basketball Association is responsible for all leagues in Israel and therefore the administration cannot establish an independent league.
The administration will be solely responsible for the commercial and marketing management of the league and will be involved in the professional aspects.

The team members also recommended that in order to resolve all disputes, a forum be established that would advise and recommend to the administration and the union how to act and help the parties formulate a long-term agreement.
This forum will have to resolve within about a month the issue of ups and downs as well as the issue of citizens and foreigners, as well as other major dilemmas that will arise.
The recommendations are now being approved by the heads of the Basketball Association and the league administration, who will have to approve them in order to embark on a new path in favor of Israeli basketball.
