The Petah Tikva Football Club has joined forces with the victims of the war in Ukraine. During the past week, a call was issued to the team's fans for the transfer of equipment for Ukrainian citizens who lost their homes during the ongoing war.
The team fans wholeheartedly joined the move, and many of them arrived at the league game yesterday with sacks full of warm clothing, blankets, hygiene products, medical products, dry food, preserves, diapers and diapers, baby food compounds, children’s toys and more.
Donations will be transferred through the Ukrainian Embassy in Israel to the needy in Ukraine.
In all, many dozens of sacks and crates containing about one hundred kilograms of humanitarian aid equipment were collected.
"Beyond football on the grass, Hapoel Petah Tikva regrets its connection to the community and assistance to the needy," said club general manager Avi Yechiel. "This is a drop in the ocean compared to the situation in Ukraine, but any help is welcome and I hope that more bodies and clubs will do so soon."
