After Cristiano Ronaldo was "strangely" absent from the team's squad in a 4-1 defeat earlier this week against Manchester City, the media in the kingdom insist that the Portuguese star flew to Portugal only because he was dismissed for significant reasons by coach Ralph Rangnik.
The superstar reportedly remained stunned when Rangnick made it clear to him that he would not start in the squad for Sunday's derby and reports that Ronaldo "complained of a hip injury" are quite sinful to the truth.
Although the star decided on his own to fly to his homeland but boarded the flight determined not to spend the next few days in Manchester.

It was further reported that the German coach was of the opinion that he needed "fresh legs" for the game and therefore thought that Ronaldo could actually make an impact from the bench.
In response, the Portuguese was furious with Rangnik and decided to fly spontaneously and explained that the weather in Portugal would have a positive effect on his injury.

In response to the events, it was reported that Ronaldo's friends at United were stunned by the fact that the star was not in the locker room at all during the game and on the way criticized him for putting himself at the center and "his interests are above the club's interests".
