VfB Hallbergmoos launched a free ticket campaign for the game against TSV 1860 Munich II in order to break its previous attendance record.

Hallbergmoos

– In their first Bayernliga season in the club's history, the VfB Hallbergmoos footballers have already experienced a lot.

Now the club could set another historic milestone if they break the magic mark of 1000 spectators for the first time in the home game against TSV 1860 Munich II on Friday (7.30 p.m., Stadion am Airport).

The head of the Hallbergmoos soccer department, Martin Gilch, made sure the grandstand was full in the first half of the season, but now it's going to go a step further: he has offered 30 free tickets to 33 clubs in the region, and the club with the most visitors gets a keg of beer on top .

In addition, VfB has set up a Kids' Corner on the back straight for the youngest fans.

With these measures, the previous attendance record from the first half of the season against FC Ingolstadt 04 II - at that time it was 850 - should be raised to four digits.

VfB coach Matthias Strohmaier promises more spectacle again

"We want to take the spectators with us," says coach Matthias Strohmaier and promises more spectacle after the tough zero numbers at home against Gundelfingen and in Pullach.

With the reserve of the Munich Lions comes a strong team with a lot of potential.

But not many players from the professional squad will be there because the first team is playing in the 3rd division at Viktoria Berlin at the same time.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The star of 1860 II is the coach, Frank Schmöller: The ex-professional won the cup with Hamburger SV in 1987 and was runner-up, while as a coach he led FC Ismaning to the regional league and previously worked successfully for today's regional league team SV Heimstetten.

If something goes against the grain of the cult trainer, you will be able to hear it without any problems, even with 1000 spectators.

Only one goal in six second half games

VfB coach Matthias Strohmaier is building on the current series of three clean sheets after the winter break.

For classification, the 27-year-old points out that Hallberg still has the most goals conceded in the Bayernliga Süd.

Even the current top rate of a goal in six games in the second half of the season cannot correct the first half of the season.

"Defensive stability is the basis," emphasizes the coach, whose team should now be a little more focused in attack.

The 0-0 draw in Pullach annoyed him because a dozen half-chances didn't lead to good deals.

"We have to hit it, too," he demands.

Winter newcomer Mert Sahin, who was always one of the first substitutes and is close to the starting XI, could provide offensive power.

He could improve the creativity in the game up front and also provide moments of surprise.

Zero at the back, a few percent more at the front and 1000 plus X spectators: These are the three factors with which the Hallbergmoosers want to ensure a new highlight in the club's history.

Strohmaier refers to the 1-0 home win against Hankofen, "because we wouldn't have won this game away from home".

Possible lineup:

VfB Hallbergmoos:

Kozel - Petschner, Strohmaier, Giglberger, Mömkes - Kostorz, Beetz (Sahin), Krause, Schmit - Werner - Aygün.
