The list of Ukrainian athletes or former athletes fighting to defend their country is growing.
We have indeed learned that the former finalist of Roland-Garros in 1999 (where he had led two sets to zero against André Agassi before losing), Andreï Medvedev was engaged in combat.
Sergiy Stakhovsky his compatriot shared on Instagram a photo with the current captain of the Ukraine Davis Cup team.
A year earlier the two men were on the tennis court to defend their colors, Medvedev as a coach and Stakhovsky as a player.
Andrei Medvedev is now 47 years old.
