Watch the Miracle: Another World Record for Armand Duplantis in the pole vault Israel today

2022-03-20T19:44:56.051Z

The young Swede passed 6.20 m in Belgrade, and improved his previous record by one centimeter, which he set only about two weeks ago.

Stunning!

Just two weeks after breaking the world record, Armand Duplantis today (Sunday) broke the pole vault world record again, when he passed 6.20m in the same hall in Belgrade.

By doing so he improved the previous world record, which also belonged to him, by one inch.

The 22-year-old Duplantis, knew the world title was already in his pocket, having passed with a clean sheet 6.05 meters high, which until that result was a new championship record and remained the only jumper in the competition.

The continuum rose to a height of 6.20 meters, but the events in the hall and the final runs in the messengers, forced him to wait a long time until the runs ended and so the eyes were on him, but the wait did its thing, and in the first two attempts he failed to produce a jump.

In the third and final attempt, the young Swede completed the jump, with the continuum moving slightly, but staying in place, with the letters "WR" indicating that he broke the world record again, with a result not seen to date of 6.20 meters and no longer waiting for the summer world championships. Alliance, and to what heights he can hover there as well.

In the silver medal, the Olympic champion, the Brazilian Thiago Braz, settled for 5.95 meters, when he failed in all three of his attempts to pass 6.05 meters and third, the American Chris Nielsen the vice-champion with 5.90 meters.
