Sad premiere in the third division: Türkgücü Munich has to stop playing in the current season

The third division soccer team Türkgücu Munich will stop playing at the end of the month.
The club announced this through its insolvency administrator.
It has never happened before in German professional football that a club has signed off during the current season.
On January 27, the bottom of the table had already filed for bankruptcy proceedings and had to accept a nine-point deduction from the DFB.
Club president and patron Hasan Kivran was apparently no longer willing to plug Munich's financial holes, had sold his 89 percent stake in the club at the end of last year and thus effectively let the club go bankrupt.
The search for new investors failed.
Big impact on the table
Türkgücü's withdrawal shakes up the table in the third division: All points earned against the club are deducted from the competition.
FC Saarbrücken is hit particularly hard in the race for promotion.
After beating Türkgücü 3-1 and 5-1, Saarbrücken lost six points and is now fourth behind Braunschweig, who, like Magdeburg and Kaiserslautern, have lost three points.
Previously, Saarbrücken was third.
Türkgücü is the first to be relegated to the last place in the table.
As a result, Viktoria Berlin moves up to the saving 16th place. Verl is on the first relegation zone, followed by Würzburg, whose gap increases from three to four points.
Hallesche FC loses four points, but is only one point behind the relegation zone than before.
It could be strange for 1. FC Kaiserslautern: The team should have played against Türkgücü on the last day of the game.

Türkgücü's withdrawal is also particularly bitter for the league and the DFB.
The licensing procedure of the DFB had already been criticized many times.
Manuel Hartmann, Managing Director of Match Operations at DFB GmbH & Co. KG, which is responsible for the 3rd league, immediately made an effort to limit the damage in a press release: “This is a sad day for the 3rd league.
Of course, Türkgücü Munich and its affected employees suffered the greatest damage.
At the same time, if a club is eliminated mid-season, it is negative for the league and the competition as a whole.
The aim must be that this case remains unique in the 3rd division.«
According to Hartmannn, the DFB is dealing with the insolvency “self-critically” and will “of course check whether mistakes were made in the approval process”.
Hartmann explained that Türkgücü's personnel expenses for game operations had risen from originally three to five million euros.
The club maintained an unusually large squad of 33 players, even for a third division.
After Türkgücü left, the deduction of eleven points that the DFB had pronounced against the club in the past few weeks is no longer relevant.
Türkgücü had been stripped of nine points due to the bankruptcy application.
Munich had lost another two points because of a violation of the conditions.
