When Parisian players come to the Vélodrome in the blue jersey (or conversely Marseille players to the Parc des Princes), the subject is often brought up again.

Will they be whistled?

In an interview with La Provence this Thursday, Didier Deschamps explained that he did not believe for a second in potential whistles from the public towards Mbappé or Kimpembe: “I do not even dare to imagine it.

This is the first time since the semi-final against Germany at Euro 2016 that the world champions have come to play in Marseille.

The coach also remembered to what extent, that evening, the contribution of the public had been essential in the French success: “It is one of the very good memories.

There was victory and communion.

Even if this victory was not a title, the public helped us”.

Currently two Marseille players are called up with the Blues, Matteo Guendouzi and William Saliba.

The two men hope to play a few minutes in front of their public, during the friendly match Friday evening against Côte d'Ivoire.
